wtf 15 sec?

i think that if you are runnin 15 anything you are not pullin the full potential of a cls either cause you can't drive or cause you can't drive, so stop posting your lame ass times and stop making us look bad! there's people in other forums prob qouting your crap times and assuming we run those times.

Ok ... but most stock auto CLSs do around 15s. Even the stock CLS6MT cannot do better than about 14.5s.

Sorry but that is reality.

not true a stock cls auto should be in the 14.6 - 14.8 range . that is with someone that drives it decently

quickcls, the reality is most CLS owners are not going to achieve that kind of number. The CLS certainly has that potential since it's been done over and over and over by various people. Remember, at the track it's all about reaction time.

Reaction time doesn't mean shit, it starts timing you after your past the two staging lights. For example the 2.7T guy had a 1.6 or 2.3 R/T and he got a 13.9, so you're saying he'll get a 12.3 or 11.6 on a good light

CLS' do run 14.9's and 15.0's, there IS a difference between 15's and a low 15s... about 2 car lengths man!

Every track is different. Temp plays a major role, track altitude. Whether your running good gas, car is cool ,,,, alot of variables. Sometimes for no reason the car doesnt pull as hard.
Judgin from this board the average time is from 14.8-15.2 for the 1/4. There have some faster and some slower too than these averages.
Launch is critical too. If your off by 100 rpms at the start, this can mean .1-.15 difference at the finish. The first 60' set the stage for the rest of the race.
I usually have bad R/t's since I dont care what the other is doing, since I am there to get the best possible time I can. So I really go at my own pace at the tree to ensure I get a good 60'.
But,,, whenever I race for the fun of it and against another brands car, I will launch on the 3rd yellow to get that r/t and try to beat the other car to the finish. : ) But only after I havent gotten the times i went to the track for first!

Oh and quikcls, to degrade someone for getting a slower time and posting it because you feel its hurts your cars stature is not right. There out there trying and having fun and whatever they get they get. Why take it as being offensive to your car? Have you gotten a timeslip?

WTF man???????...I seriously don't understand why you would post this. Some people who are unsatisfied with their times post them in order to get some input/help about how to make better times. I really don't see why you're going to tell poeple "stop posting their lame ass times"

Do you really care about what other people think about your 1/4 time? You think people are going to say "man, I can rape CL's" I used to say that about civics til some T4 came next to me and ran a 12.5, that opened my eyes... let them talk shit, and let them get their asses beat by some CL spraying a 75 shot

I agree. But then again, make sure all you CL guys are even handed and quote times for the GT for someone that knows what they are doing at the strip. (13.9-14.2)

True True! One of the good things about having a forum is to come here and post problems so you can get a solution. Why not help him get a better time by posting a better method of lauching the car? I mean help the man out don't bash him, he wants help on getting a better time next time

With more than 36 runs with the CLS.. I could run from anywhere between 14.6 up to 16.5 sec..... so it depends on the environment too much... when consitent at the strip I can run back to back runs within 0.05sec. regardles of the run time.

Agreed. Track conditions are not considered nearly enough when we spout off track times around here.

I know I posted about how, when I could only get a 15.3 at 92 mph, but I was spinning and getting 2.4 60s.

I want to get in the 14's, when i ran my 15.2 it was 85 degrees and my car was brand new. I dont see how someone can get a 14.6 stock, i had a 60 foot of 2.3 when i ran the 15.2. What 60 ft do i have to get to run a 14.8??

Amen Nashua... finally.. someone with some facts and experience.....

FYI... I've never seen a run quicker then 14.8 stock on the auto CL-S. The manuals though have been around mid-14's or so.

I agree with JHEIII850Turbo.... let's see your slips quikcls. You seem to be soo infatuated with this... yet I haven't seen any proof of your cars potential.

This topic is closed as it's just going to turn into a flame fest.... if anyone has any slips... post them in the Sanctioned Racing section.
