WTF?!?! &$&$%*#$ Carwashes
The VERY VERY first time i take my CLS in for a car wash, they scratch ANOTHER rim (Count:3) and scratch my rear right bumper! I didn't find out till i got HOME!!! So i can't go back and bitch at them. Those middle eastern ppl ripped me the **** off. DAMMIT. Its my first BIG scratch too... I'll try to take a picture of it, but its not a dent, its just the paint comin off...should i just touch up paint it...its not that long. About 4-5 inches TOPS! How much would a whole new bumper go for??

I don't think the race of people running the car wash has anything to do with the car wash scratching your rim and perhaps the bumper. I also doubt they "ripped you off" so much as you just perhaps weren't aware that our rims scratch easily because they stick out a bit and are sorta soft in nature.

I agree. You go to the automatic carwash, you accept the risks. If you repeatedly go there after a couple of incidents, then you must be finding those risks acceptable.

My parents are from the middle east (iraq). But i dont give a fuck about what u said i just wanted to say i worked at an auto car wash place last summer and they fuck your car up. The brush puts lines and swirls in your paint, they are less noticeable on white and silver cars but show alot on black or blue. So if you car about your car wash it your self!!!

a whole new bumper plus painting it plus installation costs $719.21 
my new rear bumper will be done tomorrow

Thanks god I learned about car washes before I got the CLS. My very first car was in 98. A 88 Bronco II. Picked it up, drove straight to the carwash because I needed to impress some people with a shiny clean car. I had the thing about 2 hours. Went through, & the rollors broke off the side mirrors, & the bug gaurd, the & roof was scratched to hell. Lesson learned

It doesn't matter how carefull the car wash guys are. It's a friggin risk. I know they don't use the same products I do. Cotton towels. Zaino soap. High pressure spray can scratch too.

Let me clarify guys:
I apologize if i offended anyone by saying middle eastern people. By that comment, i simply was describing the owners of the car wash, which does NOT make a difference. I was just very very upset yesterday. THEY HURT MY BABY!!!
About the rims, I scratched TWO on my own, and they scratched a third one!
I know what auto car washes can do. I didn't know find out until my car was under the soap and water. Their sign has plastered "PALOS VERDES HAND CAR WASH"....so i assumed it was a HAND car wash, not a auto car wash with someone smearing soap all over it.
The scratch isn't that major, so i'll just get the touch up paint and touch it up and buff it smooth. As for the rim, its all good. I'm getting new 19s anyways.
