WOW! Check this out... Any one got one of these?

Hey guys, we have invested a lots of time and hard earned cash on our cars so what are using to protect them from those bad boys out there. Ive been looking around for alarm systems, look what i found on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=94832&item=5776468 694&tc=photo

It even has an adaptor which will allow MP3's to be used as the alarm sound. And the ability to mount a cam inside of the car which can be monitored on the lcd in the key fob ......WOW

Holy crap! Thats impressive, its also really cheap for what it says it can do. Professional installation must put a huge dent in the wallet.

Dammit! Someone stole my idea. Instead of the pager I would opt for software that would allow my cell phone to do all of that. I better get to the patent office asap!

My 3.5 matrix was only 200 bucks brand new.
Alarm w/start-200
Windows up/down-140 (x2 windows)-280
Trunk/Sunroof-150
Fog Horn-100

Then you have to pay the 200-600 bucks for install. Install bites you in the ass everytime. Anyway, I dont think its as cheaps as it sounds, it aint no clifford but im sure its fine, it looks alot cooler than mine.

I just wanted to give you guys some feedback on this alarm. I dont have it personally but my friend who has an alarm/stereo business does. I must say that it looks 100x better in person then it does in the pics. The screen is really bright and i believe there is a feature which allows pics to be sent to the pager when the alarm is tripped. It has pretty decent range and great size/weight (It doesnt feel cheap at all). My friend could get any alarm he wanted on his car and he has this one. Probably not because its "the best" as a viper/clifford would be but good enough to protect his Sh*t. He also has this crazy add on (also works as a stand alone unit) in which you "tap" a beat on the window and if it matches a pre-set beat (think of a secret knock) it will unlock his car. He uses it all the time as he always locks his keys in his car. His cost is 180 for the alarm and he usually charges ............hang on calling him right now...........no answer I believe its 350ish installed with window up/down and the like. Well......yeah. I was thinking of getting it but there is another alarm he showed me that has "owner recognition" and will lock/unlock your car as you approach/leave your vechicle. Yeah, you dont even have to take your keys out of your pocket.....now thats

I have the one where you tap on your window to get in. The main reason I
have it is that it always forget something in my car after I get home at night
and run out to get it with my keys still in the house. You can put the sensor
for the taps anywhere you want (inside the door, fender, etc.) as long as you
tap in the general area. You can also use for a trunk release. The other system
is a RF keyless entry that has a "recognition card" thin enough you can put in
your wallet. Once you get close to the car it unlocks and once you are far
enough away it locks. About 20 feet or so. Both of those are available at
www.12voltshop.com. The Taplock is located in the garage sale items and
is listed for $36.75. The other is just in the keyless entry section and has a
part # RFKE-22 and it sells for $99.99. Hope this helps.
