I just got handed my worst beating ever in my TLS . . . the funny part is I was all giddy about it.

I'm driving home and having a bit of fun running out the gears and suddenly I hear this deep rumble around me. It's clear skys, so no thunder. No earthquakes here. Nope, there's not a F16 fighter jet landing next to me. But there is a pro street drag car right next to me.

No kidding this was a true drag car with wheely bars, drag shute, full rollcage, all the bells and whistles. It was an early 1990s model Mustang body.

Well we come up to a light and I'm yelling at him so he can hear me over the rumble . . . so what are you running at the track. He says it's turning 9.90s in the 1/4.

Anyway, I decide that he's only 5.5 secs faster so let's see what that looks like. At 30 I punch it and hanging right next to him . . . .






oh, but note that he his barely touching the gas as I can hear his engine just over idle . . . . and he's right next to me and I'm all over mine . . . .

That was , but I would have loved to have seen him give it 1/2 throttle or so and see that thing jump, then again . . . he did need to play it safe on the street with something like that.

He must have though I was nuts, but gave me a as all I wanted to do was see him kill me royally . . .

Now I have to go to the track and see some of these bad boys in action.
