I really like the CL-S as it has way more luxo items than the S2k but you cant beat the drop top and the 6 speed and handling. What do you guys think?

I had one for 3 months. Great fun; engine screams; scary fast when you hit v-tec; great value for the money; super handling; great seats and cool dash!
BUT very very very very very small; no room for anything and not the best tourer. Still wish I had my s2000 but it was highly impractical once the new wore off. I think I was too old for her.

the small size doesn't bother me, the only thing is I want a 04 model because of the upgrades and updates so i'll prob swallow 10k in difference IF I can sell my car for around 16k

So if a forum poll were taken, I would expect that 90% of the folks owning second generation Cls would be middle age females? That's not consistent with my experience...or did I miss something?

Not in my area
Most of the cl-s and tl-s are owned by middle aged men. 21 -35, yeah some of them are owned by girls but not the majority.

Its just wierd that in this particular area, just about everytime I see another tl/cl its a chick!!! Ever since I got mine in 2002 I have seen just a handful of guys driving them. (Mainly tl's as i dont see many cls)

ive comtemplated the same as well. you will be sacrificing a hell of alot of features and space as others mentioned. more importantly, you will be getting a car with much less power than CLS/TLS. I know, i know, the stock s2k could hang or beat most stock CLS/TLS, but i am talking about torque. Even with the SC, i feel that this car lacks torque in the midrange. Yes its better, but my moms GS400 STILL seems to pull better in low-mid range.
I cant even imagine how boring the midrange of a S2k would be. And even with a comptech blower, they still lack in the tq dept. I looked into it alot, and if you are not going to put a blower on that thing, i would say stick with the cls.
Now if you really want a convertible and slick shifting 6 speed, space and torque arent relevant, then you might need to seriously consider switching. Otherwise...

my friend just bought an s2k last night, black with red interior. he let me drive it around for a bit and let me say I really didn't miss the torque i have with the cl-s6. the car is so much smaller that whatever power it has seems good enough and the handling is amazing. also, even though the s2k is nothing that special, it def has an exotic feel to it. it is just a plain fun car, a drivers car.

as far as space, comfort, and practicality goes...throw it out the window. imho, the s2k is a great second car. i dont know how well it would sit with me as a car i drive yr round.

i was actually the opposite way looking for a s2000 and found the cl-s. with all the crap i carry around and my girl too, there is no way the s2k would work out unless as a 2nd or 3rd car. I'm glad i went the route i did, but a drop top right now would be nice!

Once you have a V-6, its hard to go back to a "Loud 4 banger" .........Why not a used NSX ?

I'm in the Denver, CO area and every time I see a second gen CL it's ALWAYS a guy driving it. Never seen a chick driving one here. First gen CL's a bit different. Most of those I see chicks in.

Well, lets take a trip with your pal Chops here :settles into rocking chair:

My voyage started out in my 01 CL-S, started modifying, fun, loved the car. Snaps came along and wanted to buy said car, and Grampa Chops was going to buy a 6 speed, because I have come to hate an Automatic in the CL. Well that didn't work out, so Chops bought a 01 Integra GS-R (DOHC VTEC like the S2k). Now after having this car for ~ 5 months, done some mods, and still just not really totally happy with the car. I have seriously been contemplating an S2000, or a CLS 6 speed (again)

The End, now someone help me out of this damn chair
