Not going to live in a rathole just to make my car fast... I am not a professional racer... made that decision November of 1997. Hence, its a hobby... that's it!

I missed quite a bit lately...

Excellent work Ram...

Things holding up well in the E-Manage departments?

Man, if I hadn't pulled off the recent times in the current ride I would be kicking myself as this J32A2 enthusiasm is addicting and I miss it.

Don't you have limited manual transmission driving experience?

You should not presume that driving a 5AT and 6MT are similar, they are far from that especially with FWD.

Hit a nerve asslick? I think you can kiss my fucking ass. You don't know what I was referring to. Mighty brave of you since your 3500 miles away. save the rest of your comments for a pm, and then who cares.

To add to this, I had the blower on my car for 1.5 years and about 15k miles and was making 370 WHP. When I pulled it and did a compression test I had numbers of an essentially new engine.

It was in my S4 with just the GIAC X Chip. I pulled off a 13.1@106.6. With DPs, Exhuast and Manifold PnP I should be able to pull off mid/high 12's. All for under $2000 into it.

Yes, but there are some limitations. I thought I could pull a better short time but on the 13.1 run I only mustered a 1.97. On the other mid 13 passes I pulled 2.1 - 2.2.

Too much RPM at the launch resulted in a slipping clutch which continued until I would let off and then get back on it. Not enough revs and I bogged at the line. The 13.1 pass I got, IMO, the best launch possible with this clutch at the time. I might have been able to launch harder had I over inflated the tires to get them to slip a little but who knows and something I will try next time (hopefully soon).

However, excluding the race fuel (VP103) the car was exactly as I drive it everyday. The tires and everything was exactly as would be encountered on the street which is what I was pleased with; no prep of the car. I'll be even happier if I could pull off a 12.6@110 with the new mods but I expect high 12's will be the result.

Great job on retrofitting the kit for the auto man! I'm interested in the numbers it will put down

Again, fabulous job, congratulations to both the owner and the men/women who helped make her run.

Man you Cl people get all teh fun. I know there is a 99Tl on the Tl site someone is working on but damn there is like 3-4 turbo cl on here already. That is great to see. Hey Allmotor_2000 care to venture with a TL-S. It would be an honor for you to work on my car seeing you did 3 turbo CL's already and they all turned out BEAUTIFUL!

just some fun FYI stuff.
Ironically, the clutch and Pressure plate package in the audi is nearly identical as the cls 6 speed. great times!

I think that's asking alot out of the torque converter. The gains should be significant though.

Hello from Seattle.

Can you tell me how the tranny is re-inforced and what it cost you? I am at 65K miles and love the car. But the tranny situation scares me and am just planning ahead to see if I want to keep the car (which I want to). Thanks for any help.

I've left some nice dual track marks as well . . . fairly even in length to boot . . . so I'm clueless as well.

i really dont know the technicalities behind the open dif...but i think i know this...if it were an LSD you could never only spin one wheel...if i were guessing and i am ..the open diff is designed to send power to the wheel with least grip...but if both wheels had no grip then perhaps they'd both spin?

That's sickening. I have more then that just in exhaust . Never the less congratulations on a great run, 13.1 is excellent.
