Wood Trim Question for yall...

Anyone with a Black CL-S opt (dunno if this is even possible) for the Burlwood instead of the Blackwood ball stuff that comes on the doors standard on this car? Thanks.

You don't like the Black Wood?! Yeah...it looks fake, but I still think it looks good with the Black/Black combo. Plus....that black wood steering wheel offered at the dealership is tight!!

Back to your question though....I dunno....I've never thought of getting rid of the black sorry.

On the Type-S you have no choice. On the CL-P, I believe you do. If you want to switch on a Type-S, I'm sure it's possible, but probably not worth the headache of ripping everything out and replacing it with the Burlwood.....

I asked the dealer if I could order it from acura with the brown wood instead of the black. He told me that's how it comes from the factory and I couldn't get it that way. That's why I chose the whit because I wanted the tan and wood look.

The black wood has its high points, don't get me wrong. I just like the look of simulated wood better. I can see why Acura only offers so many choices due to ease of production, but I think I'd liek the simulated look better... grrrrrrr. Well, there's a first for everything.

ummm I have a black CL-S that came with the Burlwood interior, I also bought the burlwood shifter at purchase, since that time I have also added the "Aftermarket wood trim kit" availible in black or burl (I got the Burl) which IMO looks pretty tight, just barely barely lighter.

I guess it all matters on what color interior you're getting. I'm Black/Black so I'm partial to the 'more black the better' idea. If you opt for Parchment interior then the Burlwood would be the only way to go. My old man has a Black/Black TL with Burlwood dash. It doesn't look 'bad' just not as sweet as the Black stuff. The Burlwood is really 'loud' against a Black interior. IMO.

I prefer to think of my interior as having been derived from an exotic tree found only in the depths of central Missouri ... enough of this bowling ball insinuation ...

i prefer to call my trim marble, which makes me feel like a millionaire...gives me 5 extra hp, too!!

seriously, tho, mffdvr's right...on a CL-S with black interior, u have no choice but to get the black wood (marble )...CL-S with parchment interior get the burlwood, and that's it...black with black, parchment with burlwood...TL's are a different story. i have seen TL's with black interior and burlwood trim. hope this clears things up some.

I have a black cls with parchment interior. The wood trim is the burlwood, it looks very nice. I have a non-nav dash kit for sale if anyone is interested. I have the nav so it doesn't work in my car. The kit sells for $230 but I will let it go for around $175, its still in the box.
