I was interested in purchasing the plastic wood inlay from a typeS and installing it on my petty CL-P. Does anyone know if this is something that can be purchases separate, or is it attached perminately to the door panel? Also, does anyone know what the price would be? Thanks

You mean the fake ass black bowling ball trim?
If yes... then yea... you can purchase it seperately, but you have to buy all the trim pieces... and they cost in excess of $300.

i have the black marble stuff and actually called acura to see if i can get the regular stuff...i was told that the center pieces are sold in pieces, but the ones on the door are only sold with the door panel therefore expensive...so my best bet is to find someone to trade with or find a wrecked one and jack it's wood. but i don't have the black wood in my car, i have marble (that's what everyone calls it, when i tell them it's supposed to be black wood, they go 'ill!'. so now i just tell them it's marble and they are like 'it's really nice').

Can you get just certain parts of the wood kit? I dont want the whole thing, I only would like the door panel trim and the dash vent trim pieces. is this possible?

Yah... I remember someone else saying you could only get the side trim changed if you replaced the whole door panel.
As for the Acura "Wood trim kit" I think people are misunderstanding this. Im pretty sure all it does is add on extra trim around the guages, radio, and air vents that match your current wood trim color. I know a few people on the board went with this Acura option so they can probably back that statement up. I don't think Acura sells anything that will replace the type of woodtrim that comes standard in your type of car.... i.e. black wood with the black interior cars, and brown wood in the tan interior cars.
