well, i think i may tint windows when the weather gets a little warmer here. but which percentage should i get? is 20% all around too dark? i mean, would 20% on the front windshield be too hard to see at nighttime? or maybe i should go with 20% all around with a 35% sheet on the front windshield. anyone have any comments?

It's illegal in most states to tint the windshield entirely, most only allow a 4 to 6" strip along the top. I believe AZ is one of the few that allows tint all around.

where do you live?? in addition to the front windshield rules, most states have a max % that u can use. in texas it's 35%, although you see TONS of cars a lot darker than that!

no no no, i want everyone's opinions on how hard it might be to see from a 20% windshield. i don't care about tinting laws. police in kentucky could care less what you have on your windows.

 

I have 20% on my back windows and its not too hard to see out of at night but i dont think i would want that on my windshield. I would go with 35% on the windshield instead but thats just my opinion. Its a good thing you have nice bright HIDs if you decide to tint it because you're going to need them.

 

There's no way I'd tint the front... but I can say from personal experience that since you've got a black car, I'd go 20% on the sides and back. If it was a lighter color, like PDG, Silver, or White, then I'd go with 35%.

don't go for 20% on your black car unless you want it looks like limo

cause I did it with 20% and I changed it again to 35%

Did you put one layer of tint on the exterior of the glass, then the other on the interior of the glass? Or did you just layer the two???

That must be dark as HELL!!!!!

I've heard of people putting like 45% on the inside, then Mirror tint on the exterior part of the glass.
