It's still nice and cool now..but Texas heat is unbearable in the summer. I'm planning to get my TL's windows tinted. What would be a good tint for look as well as combating the scorching heat of the sun?

1) Traditional black tint (how dark is good)
2) Silver/chrome tint (only can be seen when looking at from an angle) but if you're side by side, you can see the driver etc. Would this help reflect the heat well?

Also, what is the approximate cost in tinting? I would suspect that the second option will be more expensive.

Please let me know your opinion/suggestions. I don't know much about tints..thx.

 

I think the silver tint was called titanium tint or whatever...do you guys think it would look good on a Black/Parchment TL?

 

First, nice screen name, although i didn't like physics too much ...

Secondly: I got a normal tint on my car, here is a pic ... I dont recommend anything funky, it will mess with the navi.

 

For Black....get black. Titanium will look kinda funky IMO. 30% is what I had planned prior to my car getting keyed. Soon enough I'll be putting 30% all around.

 

I have black with the titanium. The titanium prevents the tint from getting the purple look after time.

 

Anyone knows of a good place in Houston get the car tinted? Preferably in the SW area.
