Window Auto Down

Does this feature only work when the window is fully up, or should it also work when the window is partially down? Mine doesn't seem to work when the window is partially down now and I can't remember if that is normal or not. Thanks.

do u have an aftermarket alarm with smart windows? Mine is working wierd, it barely ever lets me use auto down. It goes down like 1/5 of the way everytime.. im tryin to see if there is a way i can change that setting or something.

have you given an though to it not being the alarm but lets say a bad windowd switch, that would give you that kinda of problems.

No aftermarket alarm. The auto down seems to work sometimes, but the rest of the time the window goes for a second or two after I release the button, but doesn't make it all the way down.

try and resest it. roll your window up, then roll it down. Once its fully down keep holding the button down for a few more seconds. let go and roll your window up. once its up, hold it up for a few more seconds. this will reset your window up/down and maybe that will do the trick. its worth a shot.

Appreciate it, I will give it a shot. Never knew you had to "reset" a window.

you're resetting your auto up/down feature. If you ever unplug your battery for some reason, you have to reset the auto window feature just like you would for your clock or radio stations.

sorry for the hijack, but is the auto up and down feature only for the driver's side window or does it work for the passengers as well? Because only the drivers side works for me

Did recently replace my battery over the winter. Not sure if that coincided with the "auto" down feature not working as I rarely used the feature in the winter.

Tried to reset the window, didn't seem to work. From the window all the way up position, i rolled it all the way down and held for a few seconds. Then rolled all the way up and held for a few seconds. Didn't seem to do anything.

Also, the "auto" down feature would work intermittently before, just not reliably. Wouldn't it not work at all if it wasn't "reset"?
