Will my bulged tire blow up?

Hit a pothole hard the other day. I look at the front driver tire and it has a bubble on the side. Should I be worried? Replace or not?

Agreed, high speed will cause blow out

The structure re-enforcement of the tire has been compromised, that why U have the bulge...

Just get a a large C-Clamp and clamp it back together. The bulge will go away.

What I got to do is ask for the city to pay the bill. Those asses. You should have seen that pothole. I probably need an alignment too.

One vote for pavement/pot-hole chain-gangs (if the city managers can't keep the potholes from becoming tunnels to China, they should be made to sand the bulges of the "fixed" potholes by hand (using only emery boards)

Nah, I wouldn't worry about it....

Why don't you just test it out? Go to your favorite highway and gun it until your deep into triple digit speeds. Let me know if it blows

Well.....back to the original topic.....I noticed a bulge in my rear passenger side tire and had my 7500 mile tune up over the weekend and they didn't make mention of any problems when they rotated the tires, BUT I still noticed even after I got home in the same tire moed up front. Anyhow, I called up my dealer and I'm going in tonite to have them take a look at it. $205 installed for one tire!!!!!!!! Mutha' fvcka's!!!!!!!!!

It's all good we are gonna fucking dominate this year, THere is no way Torre and Steiny are losing this year they won't take that crap again.

I guarantee over the next 10 years Yankees will win at least 3 prob 4-5and Mets will win 1-2

When I 1st bought my CLS I had 1500 miles on her. I had the same thing happen. But it pierced the sidewall and slowly leaked.

And at the time it cost me $340 to get it fixed. Seems the price of those michelin tires was bloated when the CLS 1st came out. (july 00)

Sorry man. But I know how ya feel.

So here's my question.....so I call the dealer and get quoted $205 for replace and install of the stock tire(not covered under warrenty). I could drop some Toyo proxies and/or Michelin A/S for that price (x4 of, course). What to do?! It's just a matter of paying for four tires, but these stocks suck donkey balls anyhoo!!!!! Should I bite the bullet and just throw new rubber on there?!

IT HAPPENED TO ME

I had the same problem as you did.... one day I hit a pothole hard and I formed a bubble. Well, I swore I would fix it ASAP -- I then went on vacation and forgot about it for 5k miles and it just deflated the other day on the way to work. I am just glad I didnt die or something.

It would have been nice of Acura to put Michelin Pilot A/S stock on the CLS....
