Have any of you had alot of problems with your brakes? I have only 1,000 miles on my new car and when I am driving at highway speeds and use the brake while the clutch is in my wheel shakes really bad. This only happens about half of the time and usually after I have been driving fast or when the brakes are hot. Should I try and get new rotors or have them resurface them?

 

Oh nice here we go, let the problems begin with the 03s.

My rotors resurfaced at 25k and pads replced under warranty. 01 cls

 

It has been a factory problem and they will resurface them for free. They have had to do mine twice.. IMO the brakes/rotors on this car suck ass. So i'm prob gonna get cross drilled rotors cause i'm always braking at high speeds. But take it to Acura and tell them, and if it happens after that tell them they must put new rotors on and not resurface them this time, that's what they did for me.

 

Also you have to go easy on them for the first 250 miles


Mine resurfaced at 6500 with new brake pads too


Then replaced at 13500 new rotors and brake pads.

 

Yeah I am kind of skeptical of having them resurfaced at only 1,000 miles because you can only re-surface 2-3 times and then time for new rotors. How much do the cross-drilled rotors cost and who are you getting them from? Stillen?

 

Not really sure yet who I'm getting them from. I was thinking of doing the whole brembo kit even though it is a lot of money brakes are kinda important to me and I want them to brake smoother anyhow. When I get my new rims I will look into different cross drilled rotors. But I'm def gonna upgrade these cause even the stock brakes and rotors I hate.
