It strips wax but won't hurt the clear coat. Better be ready to wax.

Why bother, get some decent car wash. Meguiars is excellent and they have it at Target. $8 for a half gallon i think.

Zaino Bros recommend using liquid Dawn to prepare the surface to accept their products. I believe it is b/c it's great to cut road grime, bugs, etc. I don't believe ANY manf recommends washing your car regularly w/ the stuff tho.

Dish washing deterget may or do contain acids or alkalines.
Only for the prep for the Zaino process would I use it. This is the old stuff we did back in the early & mid 70s to wash cars. I remember when I started using Zip Wax from Turtle Wax. I never once again used any dishwashing detergent on a car. We have come along way in 25yrs.

dont do it!

dishwashing detergents contain abrasives.

if you have alot of tar dirt... spray some bug & tar remover on the bitch. then wash with Dawn.

then zaino it so the shit stops sticking to your car!
