7yr/100K powertrain warranty. To get the Acura warranty, it has to be purchased through Acura / Honda. I believe that it can be had in numerous time lengths and mileage increments, but your options will diminish as the car gets older and accumulates more mileage.
The certified warranty can only be extended to a car by an Acura dealer. I do not recall what the year and mileage specifics. I do not know if the certfied warranty is transferable to new owners.
As I understand, the special 100K mile warranty extension on the transmission applies to the car regardless of ownership or sales lineage. The warranty stays with the car and automatically transfers to new owners. Say you bought the car new and sold it to someone with less than 100K miles, the extended tranny warranty is automatically conveyed to the new owner.

You guys are confusing the kid. The answer to your question is a simple YES.
Acura covers the car for 7 years or 100K even if you bought it from a Kia dealership.
Peace out,
-Drew

Yes your confusing him
That 7 year/100K mile warranty only covers the transmission, & releated parts. Doesn't matter where, how, or when you bought it.
It covers nothing else!
Any other Acura extended warranty(for engine,& everything else) you can only get at an Acura dealer, & only up to 4 year/50K miles. Again does not matter where you buy it as long as the factory warranty isn't up. (4 year 50K miles)

I bought my Acuracare warranty from Curry Honda (any Honda or Acura dealer will sell either a Hondacare or Acuracare warranty). At the time, Curry had a better price than anyone else I checked.

Back to a MT!
Doesn't the certifed warranty follow the car for its life and transfer from owner to owner? Once the car is bought at a dealer and certified, shouldn't that stick with the car?
