WideBand O2 Sensor Not Working...... Suggestions?

I'm getting power at each end of the cable connector, as I check it
with my voltimeter. I also checked voltage inside of the unit, good
too. The internal fuse is okay too. Plug it in.....

Now, the LEDs do not light up at all. Although, with the ignition on,
I get a 0.40V reading from the yellow and green LEDs (0.0V from the
red LED), but they still do not physically light up.

Also, the overhead monitor/display unit does not come on at all
either. I checked voltage at the first and last pin of the RJ-type
connector and I get a reading, but still, no actual display appears.

Am I missing something here?

Unit is from here:

A power wire was grounding itself due to a little cut that I totally fogot I made when splicing wires together. It was enough to prevent everything from powering up, but not enough to blow fuses I guess.

Everything works like a charm!

Happened to me many times... could be a solder bridge or a bad solder joint; they do have a pcb problem as well - give Adam a call, they are very helpful

For those still looking for a wideband system, this place might be another choice: http://www.efisystems.com/
One good thing is that they are in the USA.

I've heard quite a few people comment on the fact that the Bosch sensor unit has too slow of a reaction time. I know Tech Edge has used the Bosch sensor for quite some time. They also list an NTK part now, not sure of it's performance. It costs 10x what the Bosch does - so it seems it should. Also not sure what EFI uses, but it's the unit everyone recommends that bashes the Bosch related units.

Any thoughts on this guys?

EDIT: looked at a few pics of the EFI system - they all look like the sensor is the NTK, same connector and all. However, a few say it's a Bosch sensor?

Just FYI, the response was more than adequate. It would update quick enough to know that the A/F ratio was within a 250 RPM window.

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but what does the wideband 02 sensor do? Performance wise? Please let me know, i may be interested!

It does absolutely nothing performance wise. Its purpose is to accurately monitor air/fuel ratio. It can let you know if you're running too lean or too rich, therefore notifying you of any problems before bigger problems occur.
