Matt... I need the ZEX dry kit, bottle warmer, purge kit, and blow down tube. Anything else? Window switch maybe so I don't spray beyond the rev limiter?

You don't want to hit the rev limiter while you are spraying.

Zex's control module should handle that type of problem and cut the nitrous.

So what about the longevity of nitrous. How does this affect the engine with continual use. By this I do not mean using it everyday and using an unsafe amount. I mean if you used it moderatly and used say a 65 or 75 shot. Does anyone know how this would where on your engine or would it be just like using a forced induction kit.

What's up Steve. I believe Mitch(acuracls6spd) has nitrous on his Cl 6 speed. I can't remember which setup he runs but I believe he ran some low 13s with his setup. He's the one with the red car with the carbon fiber trunk.

By the way, when I was running nitrous. I got my tank filled up at Speed unlimited but don't who else sells it.

The main issue with nitrous is the sudden burst of energy. yeah FI can normally give you around 40-60+HP, but smoothly delivered. Nitrous is a one time deal, once you press that button, you get 75HP instantly! That causes wear to your entire drivetrain as well as your engine components. If you moderately use it (a handful of times at the track a few times a month) it should not cause you any engine issues other than constant plug checks/changes. If you overuse it or over jet it, well, the sky is the limit with the amount of things that can break. I speak from experience

Unless you run heads up, most strips will only start timing when you start going.

I sprayed in first as soon as I got traction. Spaying from 2nd only netted mid 13's if I remember correctly.

there's a thread in here somewhere that documents all of my nitrous runs.

Did you have a button, or the brain that did it all for you? I'm skurrr'd that since it's most likely a full-throttle switch, it may spray while the tranny is in neutral shifting gears and do all sorts of bad things.

if you have any doubts just get a button, or if you have the money get a window switch
