Whoa! WTF?? Electrical Problem...?

For like 15 minutes today my front speaker's cut out... both the tweeters and the floor woofers on both sides.

I tried changing the fade... changing balance... changing stations... changing CD's... everything.

And no luck.

Then all the sudden they kicked back in!?!

What the hell happened??

take off your center consol and inside there is a little green lever/fuse. Take that out and wash it w/ WD-40 then place it in the gas tank start the car and all should be fine.

thank you,

Or, you could just run it down to Streeteffects with a 5,000-dollar check and have him take care of it for you.

SOOPA, I would check the plug in connector at the factory amp, in the trunk. Of course it could be gremlins in the factory amp or the head unit. I've seen a couple posts where people had the head unit replaced under warranty, although I don't think it was for the same problem that you related.

umm... CLpower... I tried what you said and I dont think it worked right:

What should I do?!? Help?

I think I pulled the Blue "lever/fuse" instead of the Green one! Is it too late to correct my error?

Soopa, I bet it had something to do with the "Auto Muting" front speakers that activate when the navigation chicky talks to us. Maybe the navigation was acting up and muting the front speakers for no good reason?

Soopa- it probably was the navi. There is a mute circuit that it uses to overide the radio. Was the navi doing anything wierd? If it happens again, take it to your dealer and mention that to him.

Hmm. Interestingly enough I was damn close to Park Ave Acura when this happened.

Sabotage maybe?
