Well there is no best exhaust or everyone would have it...
If you like exhaust sounds don't go with Comptech the sound is really measly...HKS and Greddy give a nice sound and has been done. Greddy take some welding and HKS is just bolt on. Urix has flowmaster...I don't know how that is.
Most Exhausts will only give you a max of 5 hp.

just so you know this guys oppinion comes from an idea that the cl looks best dropped 2.5 inches or more... not to flame but ,if youre after throaty ,yet reserved, note that doesnt get too loud, and doesnt sound like a weed eater ...(NOT THAT THE HKS DOES) ...than ask your self why does almost every person who has an exhaust on this board, have a comptech exhaust?

Oh...Behave!
It MOSTLY depends on what type of TIP you like - Medium or Large diameter! The Comptechs are medium, and the HKS Sport are Medium, but the HKS Super Dragers are large!
I just put the Super Dragers on, and at first I felt the tips were HUGE and "ricey" looking, but I have adjusted them up higher so there is only a 3/8" gap at the top to the arch of the bumper cutout, and now they look tight! Plus, I don't have the premuffler [resonator] on right now, and damn they are LOUD, LOW and BASSY! Unbelievably, BAD ASS SOUNDING when accelerating, and starting from a stop light. But are sorta loud! I have an appt on monday morning to have the premuffler put make on and 2 1/2" tubing installed from the "cat" back to the B pipe "Y". So, it will still sound "beefy", but won't draw so much attention to you when you are "in it"! [which is 95% of the time!]

My .02
I really can't attest to the sound quality of Comptech, but that's what I ordered. I don't want attention getting sound all the time.. but that's just me. They're scheduled to arrive Monday, I'll post up my eval after the install.

Comtech Exhaust sounds throaty and mean kinda like a mustang and does not have that ricer buzz to it. People don't look at my car and hear rice, they hear a mean exhaust especially at 2400 rpms. I love my Comptech Exhaust and the tips look MEAN.

Comptech sounded like the way to go, but now Mugen has this wild-looking exhaust for only $1,300, but they make great stuff...CarAuroParts.com has a good selection of axleback exhausts
