Who Here Has an Apexi VAFC Installed

Wanted to know who here has a VAFC installed on their CLS?

Was the installation hard? Time consuming? How long did the instalation take?

How hard and long was it for a tuner to tune it at a dyno shop?

yes, it's a PITA...you need to extend all the wires in the harness, if you want to mount it anywhere discrete...the wiring diagram is avail on the net, and isn't that hard...

but, really, it's not worth the money...

PITA - Why does everything have to be a Greek thing...j/k .

Now what is the probem about a VAFC being a PITA. Is it the splicing of the wires, or is it the tuning?

I don't know what I am doing wrong but I tried searching for the wiring diagram and could find it. U think that u could throw me a link? Oh what gains did u acieve after instalation? How many hours did u have to rent out the dyno to get the thing tuned?

Yiasou re.

I paid 75 to get my v-afc installed. I just left it in the glove where I wanted it. If you set the vtecpoint too low, get ready for a studder. You can set it lower then 4800, or you will get some sort of studder when vtec tried to engage. Also, if you dont dyno tune it, you will lose some time. I know this, because everytime I play around with my vafc I lose or gain a .1th on the quarter. I did this on sat, when I ran a 14.50@97.9. I still got the studder and I still ran that time. Personally. I've been contemplating on removing it, so in other words dont waste your time.

Shops charge like around $75 if you don't want the headache. Tuning is extra. I think it will help some but I got mine for my Zex.
