ok heres the story guys....

Weather: Rain all day, road = rivers....
Cars: 3.2CL Vs. Sentra SE-R SpecV
Where: Somewhere in Stafford
Who: Me and this dude with his girlfriend
Why: He thinks he is cool with a 4cycliner!
Note: Kumho 712 SUCKS!

today, on my way to work... I saw this White SER SpecV, I just mind my own business driving down the road.... and he speeds up, so did i in 4th gear... never realized he was trying to race... then traffic came upfront, so i slow down... then he turns on the hazard.. I was like, HELL NO!.....

So I followed him into some one lane road with up and down traffic on each side.... I was behind him, once i saw the traffic was cleared, i shifted into 2nd and pulled from behind, of course he speeded up as well, and try not to let me pass him... After a second or two, he was behind me looking my hazard flashes..... this happened 3 times, i slow down, waited for him, then passed him! Shouldn't he learn by now???

Anyway, now he thinks he should have beaten me, so he follows me... Of course, with my CL, 6cycliner, it really shines on the freeway, so i lead him onto Beltway8 feader road... While he was following me, I speeded up to 110mph, he was like 20 cars behind me, eating the water spray up by my car... I wonder how its like to be right behind me with all those water coming at his face....

For some reason, there are several encounters that i have cars infront of me, he turned on his hazard, and THINKS he have won.... The thing is, I dont think CL is a quick car, due to its weight.... But a little 2.5 4Cyclinder stock SER try to challenge it on highway speed? What was he thinking, cuz i probally have 100lbs more torque than he does..... But after I really dont like the high speed in the rain...

Hey SER guy, dont take it personal, i am not trying to be mean, but since you asked to see what a CL can do, I was just trying to show you.... BTW, get the REAL SER which is SR20DE.... I used to have one, and it ran 14.5 with bolts-on..... Those new QR25, they dont go much!

 

The CL-S certainly is a quick car. Maybe not a fast car compared to a lot of other cars out there, but more than enough muscle for a LOT of cars out there, as you hopefully proved to that dummy in the SER!

 

It would have been worse if you had that little red S on your trunk. Nice kill.

sorry, i dont have a litle red S on my trunk, but i have CAI, Pulleys, Denso Plugs, Headers, custom pipe... I think thats enought to cover the little red S somewhat???

 

hey laser..how do u like the headers? does it make a significant improvement?

I strongly advise not to race in the rain. It's dangerous and pretty dumb IMHO.

The outcome was expected though. Your Honda is is much faster than that SER spec V.

 

YEs, i have headers.... well if you getting OBX, go for it, since the price is soo low... BUT Comptech, I would say, you have to REALLY think about it.....

Mine is a CLP, and with the headers on, below 5000rpm, you cant tell much difference, but my car was REALLY responsive, like i have lots of torque whenever i step on it... BUT i dont think its the header, cuz i have CAI, UR Pulleys, and Denso plus, THOSE really make the car pull at low rpm, and rpm respone fasters as well.... ESPECIALLY those UR......

But once after 5000rpm, its a totally different story, the headers REALLY shines... For CLP, before, its kinda weak even the VTEC kicks in... but now, you can tell, once the VTEC kicks in, you will pull even more, and keep pulling till 6200rpm, since i have stock exhasut, so i stop pulling after 6200rpm... I am sure when i add the exhasut, I am not gonna add much power, but will free more air flow at extreme high rpm... But you can FEEL the difference after 5000rpm.... hope this would help!
