Where is the stock amp located?

I am redoing my system, and I wanted to know where the stock amp is located. I am replacing the inside components with DEI Studio 3065s, I already removed my 6x9s completely, and I might be replacing my 10" Perfects w/ an OZ Audio 300L.

SilverKnight,

Thanks. Did you ever take pics of your amp install?

Here are a couple of my install. The factory amp is just behind the lining and to the left of the factory Amp:

Ok, that looks good but! how do you get the jack out now? Why not put the amp on the other side of the trunk.

Because this is the side the original is on, so the wire hook-ups are a lot easier..

The location is precisely what empeters mentioned. The lead lengths are about a foot.

As for getting the jack out, there are two screws retaining the amp at the top with a brace that would allow it to pivot at the bottom. I could have the amp down lying flat in one minute. But hopefully that wouldn't be needed.

Did you run all new wires? I'm trying to find out the exact length of wire from head unit to the trunk so I can order the correct amount of wire without having to get too much extra. How much to where you have that amp would be greatly helpful.
Any idea how much speaker cable you used to? Any info is appreciated. thnx
