When is Acura going to get w/ the program?
When is Acura going to get w/ the program?
BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc. all have these SICK accessory books to complement their cars. We have to search around like jerk-off's to find anything worth while for our cars. Store.acura.com is a worthless web-site. What's the deal?
the company needs a few people like us to come in there and rework the entire company focus...i can't tell u how the focus Acura's had from past years has stubbornly stayed the same, attracting an older audience...now Mercedes, BMW, and Audi...all German, all performance oriented...these people don't get old
...they stay young until they die...y? b/c they want only the best performance in ALL their cars, including station wagons...if Acura wants to b in the arena with Mercedes, BMW, and Audi, they can't just say they're the upgraded version of Honda, they have to "show them the money"...i think our car was an interesting first step at implementing this new strategy...the TL and RSX seem to b baby steps further along...in the not to distant future, i can see Acura teaming up with a company like AMG and offering some psycho upgrades...remember, Honda is in the process of getting back to their roots of racing...hopefully, the Acura lineup will soon represent that commitment.

I believe I read in Velocity that Acura/Honda is looking to team up with Comptech and Mugen to offer spiced up vehicles out the door from the dealership, so give them a chance. Acura is not really performance oriented so give them a chance.

Acura is a brand new company compaired to MB, BMW, etc. They've only been around since about '87, only 14 years. Only the Integra and NSX has major support because of the "global" marketing. All the other vehicles are just "regional".
Actually, Acura has just come out with a nice accessory book covering all their vehicles. We just ordered 10 of them for our dealership use. No speed parts yet- but that may be changing soon. thats why we offer all the Comptech and related stuff.
BTW- we are developing an Accessory/Performance site just for Acura and it should be up in a month or so. The address is www.acura-performance.com . We will announce when it is up and running. We plan to carry all the accessories and speed parts at good prices and ship to anywhere in the country.

Now if you guys could only do service over the internet...

Mugen = Honda
Honda use to make aftermarket parts for their cars way back in the day under the name Mugen. I think the last thing they made shit was for the CRX back in like 1987 or something.

I keep hearing about honda teaming with Mugen and comptech. for one, Mugen's president is the son of Honda's president they are already tied together. Mugen IS a part of Honda. read up on any of Honda's in house racing projects i.e. formula one and the like and they were built by Mugen. As for Comptech, they are the closest thing to an American Mugen. They work very closely with honda but are not a sub-company of honda like Mugen. If you ever hope to see a performance package on this level available from the factory you have a much better chance to see Mugen in the option box seeing as they are honda and know all of honda's little secrets and new products before any of us. ( they had performance parts for the RSX while the rest of the world was still wondering if it even exsisted ). Oh yeah, also, it might sound rediculous but lets not forget that honda offered AEM parts on the Civic SI right of the showroom floor
we also have an accessory center, but while having all the carlines that we do, we have to spread out the inventory for everything, so too bad to say its not geared for just acura but we can get just about anything needed
