Depends on your definition of useless. They'll stop the jerkoff with a tire iron from easily walking off with your wheels. But they won't stop a pro. Of course, that could be said of any security device. They were already on the car when I got it. I think they cost $25-30 for the set. I'd get them. It it stops that one guy its worth it.

Since you haven't actually gotten the car yet, see if the dealer will throw the locks in for free... They'll stop the casual wheel thieves. (Unless they're armed with those GatorGrip thingamajigs)

Yeah, what IntegraVT said. Have them throw them in. I had wheel locks thrown in on both Acuras when I bought them. On the TL-S, I told them I wouldn't buy the car unless they threw them in!!

So, to answer your question, for the price I got them... definitely worth it!! They'd be worth if it even if you paid......

Look....get them....if you didn't have them on....just wait, within a month...I would have stolen your wheels....takes 10 minutes without locks.

Like a 40 dolalr Bypass valve on a CAI, a 50 dollar set of wheel locks is worth it. CHEAP INSURANCE.

my wheel locks and mud flaps were on the car when I got it. I thought it was part of the standard equipment (there wasn't any extra charge for them).

The cargo net comes standard. Most dealers throw in mudflaps and wheel locks though...

Just don't forget to keep the key to wheel locks in the trunk or glovebox. In a moment of blinding stupidity, I left the key at home before going on a road trip. A tire blowout meant a very long tow home, courtesy of Acura Roadside Assistance.

I have wheel locks for the same reason I have The Club - which car will the thief take - the one he can take the easiest/quickest.

Sure any security device can be bypassed, but they'd go after the CLS parked next to mine without them first. Fine with me.

ps, I got mine thrown in too.
