Would a 18x7.5" wheel w/ a 42mm offset and 225/40/ZR18 tires and a Comptech drop work , or would I have rubbing problems . Does anyone have this set-up or should I try and stick w/ a 45mm offset .

 

I have the Comptechs and 225-40-18s with a 48 offset and no problems, 42 is probably gonna be a problem.

 

I have 18x7.5 with 42mm offset and 235/40/18 setup.. no rubbing ever!

 

i had 18x7 with 42 offset and 225/40 nittos on my cl-s

i rubbed under hard braking in the front right....I had comptech front springs.

I also had put 9 people in my CL-S and at that point everything i would do caused it to rub.

I personal would not go with a 42 offset with a 7.5 inch wide rim...7" rim i would.
