Wheel advice
I bought a 2001 Acura CL-S on Friday with 47,000 original kms
the back story - I bought a 2001 blue CL-S for my father in the summer of 2005. He loved it and drove it until he passed in January 2011. My mother wanted to give me back the car, but every time I drove it I was too emotional. So we sold it and time passes.
an ad popped up on Friday in Vancouver for the same year, albeit silver instead of blue, and it felt like now was the time to buy it and remember my father.
my question: the original wheels look terrible; curb rash and oxidization. A friend has 2015 TL takeoffs 18X 7.5 with a 50 offset. The online guides say bolt circle, bore centre and offset match perfectly, and the offset guide on 1010tires.com says I will be 6mm closer to the strut and 6mm closer to the fender, which is about 1/4 inch
has anyone mounted these wheels and can guide me to any fitment complications? I won’t be lowering the car. I will simply catch up on any deferred maintenance and enjoy driving it and remembering my Dad. Thanks for any help you can share.
