For another 100 dollars you have an Alpine CVA 1004 headunit and instead of cute clips you can play movies (not that you should do this while driving ofcourse) .
I looked at dozens of headunits this Sony was one of them .I went to several Car Audio forums and all were in agreement that Sony was not the way to go .
Alpine is outrageously expensive but I went with an IVA-D900 in dash monitor/DVD/CD player .Absolutely amazing stuff this thing .With a few wiring tricks you are watching TV on the move .Plugged in a rear entertainment system XM and Nav as well .You can get a CVA 1004 for about 799.00 add a changer and a decent DVD player and you are on your way to some good times .

Yeah definitely do not get that sony. It is overpriced, and isn't even all that great of a unit. It looks kind of cool and has some flashy features, but performance wise it is sub par. If you want color and video I agree with Jens, check out some of the Alpine stuff, or Clarion. If you want a single din CD player, I would go with an Eclipse CD8053 or one of the high end Alpines.

That Sony is no where near the quality of similarly priced units. You pay for that gimmicky color screen.

 

Craig I can get 35% off anything SONY.... just right now with Holidays you might have to wait a month to receive it!!..

 

I really dont know alot about car audio...show me some good head units for around 500 to 600 dollar...
