whats the point?

is there a point to buying and installing mods like headers, cai exhuast, etc on a lease?

Only if you can afford to have them uninstalled when you give it back (unless you DIY).

its pointless... and for ppl who cant afford to BUY those things

just like renting tires and furniture - i dont see any reason why anyone would wanna

It's not like you HAVE to give the car back at the end of the lease. My residual will be such that I'm going to buy the car at the end of the lease regardless. I may keep the car at that point or I may sell it privately. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy this car and mod it as I see fit. Sure, I may lose a few dollars in the process, but since when are cars investments?

I lease mine and I plan on modding it. My mom said if I want to get rid of it after the 3 years, she'll take it, so I don't have to worry about taking anything off.
