What upper front tower bar are you using?

What upper front brace bar are you using? Do you like it and how much did it cost? I am currently waiting for the Eibach pro-control bar and Comptech sways but they are taking forever to get to the bodyshop. I most likely will wait it out until they arrive, but just curious as to what other people are using, like, and would recommend with price not being a factor in your decision. Thanks!

I installed it but honestly couldn't feel a difference in the handling.

got it before getting sways and i can't attest to much better handling. i think the steering is a little sharper, but it may be in my head.

get sways first, they'll definately make a difference.

I will be putting both on at the same time, the sways and the tie bar. But what is scaring me are the responses saying the tie bar doesn't make a difference in the ride. Could more people comment on this, thanks!!!!!!!!

i did...very much so. just exiting and entering highways....on those ramps, i can go much faster now without that feeling like the car is gonna roll over. i'm not talking about slaloms or those kinds of things...just regular everyday driving. this is just my opinion....and i'm pretty sure others will agree.

I am not so hot about the upper struct bar, I don't think there is much different between our stock one VS. aftermarket one... just as long as you have better springs and sways installed.

i think the only difference is very marginallly sharper steering, but handling wise, the car still feels the same.

i got them both just 'cuz i got the sways for $80 and it looks cooler than the stock one. otherwise, i think with the sways, i don't think you'd notice much difference w/ or w/o the strut bar.

when you get it installed, just have someone either take it out or leave it in (without telling you what he did), and tell you to drive it, and then have him put it in or take it out (depending on what he did the first time) without letting you know, and drive it again. and see if you can guess if you were driving with or without it...kinda like a blind taste test.

just hope he didn't see that 7up taste test commercial w/ orlando jones...he might leave the strut bar in the first time, then take strut bar out along with cutting the brake line for the 2nd to prove you like driving with the strut bar!

comptech sways make a major difference; not so sure about strut tower brace. had a stillen bar on my last car and didnt see a big diff there either; adding the rear sway bar to that 96 max made much bigger change

i think the reason why most of you don't or didn't feel a diff is because you have the type-s....it's supposed to have stiffer suspension already. i have the cl-p and the body roll was really bad. putting on the upper strut bar helped get rid of the some of the roll. anyone, correct me if i'm wrong.

The Neuspeed upper strut/tower bar will probably help people with modified suspensions (sticky and fat tires, wide wheels, sways, springs, etc.).

IMO -- It makes the steering feel tighter and there is a bit less "scrub" in tight turns.

If I had a perfectly stock car (stock tires, etc), I probably would take a pass on it. With the mods I've got, I'm happy with it.

well for me, after i got my strut bar i couldn't really feel like i could take 90 degree turns at 50 mph... however i did feel like the car's turning was sharper and more responsive.

when you lower your car with springs, it makes the steering alot lighter. does installing the Neuspeed upper bar make the steering a little bit stiffer again?

Neuspeed upper strut brace rocks!!! I am still on stock tires and can take a certain high speed curve 5mph.faster. Steering has more solid/precise feel. Hey what can I say but I'm one sensitive guy! Can't wait to get hiperf tires!

The CL-S upper strut tower is mounted to the firewall...it is mounted in 3 points...the regular CL..I assume is like the regular TL, so it mounts only at 2 places..the strut towers.

Hey Blazer Bob,

I thought the Eibach sways weren't out yet for our cars until Nov. When did you get yours?

Make sure you use BOTH the Neuspeed strut bar and the OEM bar TOGETHER! It's designed to complement our OEM bar. IMO, my front end's a bit tighter--not as much flex.

NeedForHandling,
Installed my Eibach sways and springs back in June. Have heard someone here on forum mention a new Eibach designed sway?!

YES, YES -- keep the stock bar. The two bars work together. When you install it you will see what people are talking about.

So, I take it Nuespeed is the most popular so far followed by Comptech and Eibach. I'm leaning toward getting the Eibach tower bar. What do you guys think?
