So what do you expect for the redesigned 04 TL?!!!

4WD
300+ HP
SMG
less than 6sec to 60, 14s to the 1/4 mile

That would be what I am looking for next year.

I'm trying to talk my gf into getting the G35 when her lease is up in a couple months.... Not so much for her, but for me.

RWD, 260HP/Tq, if fit & finish is up to Infiniti standards it's going to do well in the entry level luxury-sport market.

are you nuts???
TL is a Family Sedan... The Type-S might add some performance, but it is not a friggin' racing machine...

I priced out all the cars I like. All fully loaded. I don't believe in buying a car without all the options - part of the reason I got the CL-S.
  • $25,635 -- Dodge Stratus Cpe R/T
  • $25,855 -- Chrysler Sebring Cpe
  • $25,911 -- Honda Accord EX Cpe
  • $26,845 -- Ford Mustang GT
  • $27,018 -- Honda Prelude
  • $29,468 -- Nissan Altima 3.5SE
  • $29,730 -- Dodge Intrepid R/T
  • $31,682 -- Nissan Maxima GLE
  • $32,400 -- Audi A4 1.8T
  • $33,920 -- Chrysler 300M Special
  • $34,195 -- Lexus IS300 E-Shift
  • $35,345 -- Infinity I35
  • $35,711 -- Acura TL Type-S
  • $37,649 -- MB C230 Cpe
  • $38,095 -- Sabb 9-3 Viggen 2.3T
  • $38,465 -- Volvo S60 T5
  • $39,315 -- Lexus ES300
  • $40,120 -- BMW 325Ci
  • $40,500 -- Saab 9-5 Aero
  • $41,085 -- Audi A4 3.0
  • $41,100 -- Audi TT Cpe
  • $41,225 -- Volvo C70 Cpe
  • $42,920 -- Lincoln LS V8
  • $43,446 -- Lexux GS300
  • $45,335 -- BMW 330Ci
  • $46,027 -- MB C240 Sdn
Clearly, comparing some of these cars to the CL is ridiculous. I priced them out anyway because I like them. It's weird, other people and publications compare the 330 to the CL - They are in totally different classes when loaded.

I've driven most of these cars, and if I had to pick from this list while factoring price, I guess I'd take the 300M. It's close in price to the CL, has tons of features, and it's fun to drive. I'm still waiting for the 350Z and RX-8. Those will be top contenders in my mind.

Yeah, that was the MSRP for the 300M Special Edition with everything. The Honda numbers are low too because they aren't offering the aero kits online anymore - those usually added around $1,000.

The CL-S with nav, wood steering wheel, etc. was $34,100 - a little less than the TL with everything.

The best thing has got to be a Ford Focus, man I love em. Totaly joking of course, I had a Focus rental for a few days the other week and it had to be the shittyest piece of shit Ive ever been in. I think the whole car is made of plastic. I have alot of expensive favorites, but for around the same price the new altima is a hell of a deal for the performance and styling.

Ah ha... I see... I compared the Cl without the NAV with the 300M loaded. Since pretty much everything that is optional on the Chrysler, come standard on the CL-S. The 300M is a decent car though.. It sure isn't slow. I have a few friends that are looking for cars and we'll have to check out the Chrysler.
