What Mods should I do first?

I am finalizing my paperwork tonight and picking up my new '03 CL-S 6speed in 10 days and am wondering what mods you guys recommend. I had originally ordered a Maxima loaded with everything including 6spd and Navi and they jerked me around and I am glad that I am not getting a Nissan.

It seems that some of the best mods seem to be a CAI and Computech Headers. What kinds of perfomance gains would you guys suspect with 6speed with headers, CAI, and possibly exhaust? My goal is to get down to the 5.5-5.7 0-60 time. Do you think this is possible?

Thanks for any help.

Headers and CAI combo if you can afford it!!!!! The car will automatically handle better because of the LSD. With headers you might be able to get around 6 or but only because of the crappy tires. If you get some grippy tires you should be good.

i'd spread it out a bit...CAI, sways(or springs), and tires...since u live in FL, u can get yerself some decent 3-seasons for pretty good rates...these 3 mods will prob run u bout $1,000...if i had to pick 1, i'd start with the CAI (best HP performance value for the $$)

congrats on yer purchase...i hope u have tons of fun with yer new baby!!!

Why not swing by Rick case Acura and pick a RES good for 15HP and 15 lbft to the wheels all accross the range (ehhm, it is not out yet). Comptech Headers good for 24-30 HP to the wheels (5500 rpm to 6800 rpm). CAI 5-8 WHP all across.

Get the sway bars, get some 235/45/17 Toyo T1-S and you should be all set...

Thanks for all the suggestions. What is an RES and what is the best CAI to go with? I am first and foremost going to install my Car Stereo (MB Quart "Q" Series all the way round and 2 JL 10's with Extant Amps). After that I am getting tint and doing the CAI. I am going to be hurting for cash for awhile for the headers after $10K down payment. How much are the headers?

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome ! Headers are around $1200, expensive but well worth it in my opinion. Do a search on intakes, i've got the AEM and i love it, the sound is kick ass at 5500 rpms !! With the power and the 6 speed, i would HIGHLY recommend upgrading the tires quickly. Good sticky, lower profile tires will make a huge difference. Then improved sways, springs and struts. Good luck.

interior

Congrats Man!

I was sitting in a 2003 Acura CL-S 6SPD this morning. A VTEC Controller will look perfect under the change box. The heated seat buttons have moved up vertically behind the hand brake, so there is plenty of room to mount, and it will patch perfect with the brushed aluminum. Finally - AUTO UP windows! I have mine on order ( Athracite/Ebony), and hope to get it by the Tuner Bash in Daytona. I'll try to attach some pics soon. It's still wrapped in Plastic. The housing of the headlights matches perfect because it has a metallic look.

If you want one and are in the area, let me know. I'll reserve one for you with a $1000 partial payment.

I'd put on springs to get rid of the 4x4 off-road look

Re: interior

Actually it is only auto-up on driver's window. Anyone know if you can buy a module to convert the passenger window as well?

Also, what does a VTEC controller do?
