What Looks Best For Daytime Running Lights? Vote!

On our CL's we have the driving lights and HID's obviously. Now since I have a 2003 I wired up my driving lights so they have their own switch and I can put them on by themselves. So what I'm trying to decide is what looks best / cleanest to have on ALL the time (AKA - all day long regardless of weather).

My driving lights are 6-LED superwhite wedge bulbs, they're extremely bright at night, not as bright during the day obviously because they're only wedge bulbs.

And my HID's are 6000K so they match the LED driving lights 100%.

And my parking lights (behind the reflectors) are 6-LED amber wedge bulbs.

What do YOU think looks cleanest on our cars?

IMHO none, but id prob go with the driving lamps and ambers only. NO need to burn out the HIDs since the bulbs arent cheap

Those DRL's are sick as hell! But for those of us that don't have them, lol. I don't know because I really like the look of 6000K HID's during the day, but at the same time I think just having the driving lights on gives the illusion of the car being slightly lower than it really is. I guess because they're so close to the ground?

What does anyone thing adding led to their headlights by way of drilling to add a background illusion? i know people have done it in the past. I had that option on my Saab. I can run the driving lights with my fogs and i would have an illusion as with my headlights were on.

There actually the same socket and bulb that are in the roadlamps. I just modified the socket to fit into the highbeam spot. Doing this got rid of the highbeams... so don't do this is you like to use your high beams. The bulbs are the PIAA yellow ions

I would go with none, but if you like em I would say go road lamps only.

Do u have a pic of the car at night with the road lamps on? I was thinking about getting LED bulbs but got Polarg's instread because I wasn't sure if LED's would be bright enough to look good over the shiat stock bulbs.

Funny I absolutely love driving with lights on during the day - to me cars always stand out more with the lights on. I don't know about the HID's seems it's seems to be kind of pointless, but I just feel like EVERY newer car comes with some kind of DRL's now no matter what these days.

Anyway here is a picture with JUST the driving lights:

And here is the driving lights & amber parking lights:

...so far I think I prefer the driving & ambers because it almost makes it look like the car is smiling - in an aggressive way.

haha smiling just like it's owner at VTEC. I really like the LED bulbs do u have the model #/website or whatever?

Looking those pics I agree with you road lamps and ambers look best. I would love a wiring diagram for your setup too BTW can't beat the independent control over everything like that.

And by the way I have a medical waiver for my window tint, so it's 100% completely legal no questions asked. And I have zero problems seeing at night so it's really never an issue whatsoever.

Haha, well I disabled the turning signal bulb turning on with a piece of masking tape over one of the reflectors. And my Acura technician did the driving lights for me, so I'm honestly not sure, sorry.

confused on the masking tape. And could you ask the tech how he did it next time you bring it in perhaps? Or maybe somebody else on this board can figure it out how it would be done...

I don't think you want the warm white, but after looking at the site myself and reading the fine print it says the 6 l.e.d. bulbs get too hot in headlight housings and they stop working. Is this true? And as far as the masking tape being used to disable the blinkers from illuminating as parking lights could someone please explain that to me. Thanks.
