Apexi Vafc?

I have a TLP with the CT SC & HBP (lol look at all those abbreivations). I am pretty sure the car is running very rich as the tailpipes get very black. I have pulled the belt off temporarily....every now and then I get the check engine light with misfires in all cylinders. Can I use an apexi neo/vafc to tune the car and get it running right, or do I have to go with an emanage (Id hate to have to go that right as it will cost me a bundle)..also, for the VAFC/NEO do I have to get a boomslang harness as well? TIA>

This has been discussed FYI but E-manage or Unichip control things like timing that VAFC doesn't, so you get more control and tuneability with those. I had a VAFC II, nice but in a way a waste of money if you are going FI.

hmm that sucks. anyone know any good emange or unichip tuners in the area? I think I will end up going with an emanage.. I hope boomslang makes a harness for my car.
