Well as you can tell from the other post that I am 95% going to get the ABP 6-speed, navi CL.

I am going to look/buy it tomorrow (Saturday) and I want to know what to look for.

CLUTCH: I always had a cable clutch in my mustang so is there anyway to know if a hydraulic clutch is going bad?

ENGINE: Is there anything specific that I should look out for in the engine, common noises, etc.?

ANYTHING ELSE???

I just got the carfax from Cory Tang (thanks ) and I am reading over it.
I says it is a one owner car and est/ length of ownership is 4yrs. 2 mo.
My only thing is that the last odometer reading is in 12/8/04 at 24,835 and then on 6/9/06 it was registered in another town. So two years went by, and what was the car doing???
Am I looking into this too much or is there a problem???

 

Yeah, you might be looking too hard...

If it doesn't show an accident, or had conflicting mileage data, then it's clean, and I wouldn't worry about it. Looks like it's an early 6spd that wasn't driven much. Maybe it was a 2nd or 3rd car

I wouldn't worry about it having 1 1/2 years between entries...

I've got 8 records on my carfax... I'm the original owner, and I sometimes wonder what those 8 are

Well all of the dealer services are listed and everytime you register the car or change the title some how. It also calculates everytime you inspect the car.

I know I over analyze everything, but I don't want to make an $18k mistake.

 

whe u start the car, u might here a slight ticking noise. Its probably the solenoid, so don't think too hard there as well. I know I did.

u can also read the common problems and fixes section to get some valuable info
