It's those little "hairs" ( I think they're peices of suede or something)that pop out of the holes in the perforations. I think we all have them. Mine aren't too bad but I think some others have REALLY HAIRY - ROGAINE
ENHANCED seats!! If you get them, try using Lexol - I think that's what been keeping mine under control.

I got "hairy" seats when I did vacum-cleaned the leather seats. It was a bad idea! You will definitely "pop up" those hidden "hairy chads" that was a result of poking holes in the leather. Go ask Al Gore about "Chads and dimples" and he will explain more . I am wondering why he did not vacumed those balots.....heh heh heh heh

"hairy seats" is the phenomenon which occurs when your significant other has a shedding problem. It can be cured by leaving them at home which in turn will allow you to go faster w/o the dead weight in the passenger seat! Seriously, if you haven't noticed little white threads all over your seats, then you don't have a problem. I however, am not so fortunate.

A Hairy seat is when you pick up a nasty fat girl, and she's covered with hair. You then kick her out of your CL only to realize that she's left hair al over the seat from her legs and arms

The best solution is to get a airhose and blow the hairs back into the holes!!!

It is simply the best leather conditioner avalible. They make a conditioner, cleaner, and something else, I forgot. But it is really the best stuff for your seats.

Just make sure you wipe all excess Lexol off before sitting on the seats! It tends to be greasy.

Does useage over time seem to lessen the problem? I only notice it on the rear seats now not on the front seats which are in use more often.

Do the holes perform a function? Ventilation?
Could this mystery hair be some of the cotton under the leather, coming out? I took a close look at my seats, and there appears to be a layer of fabric directly under the leater. Hence no hairy seat problem... knock on wood.

I'm no expert, but I think the mystery "hair" are actually cotton strands escaping via the preferation holes. My seats aren't too bad, but they do have those mystery strands.
