What does a 01 CL-S need to run 13's?

you'll get close to 13's running N/A with the mods that alliance listed, however, you'll need the S/C or Nitrous to push you into the 13 second range.....
headers+intake+b-pipe+UR pulley+exhaust can run 13's.. my car was pretty quick stock, 14.6 quarter mile (with some weight removed from the car, but that at most would be like .1 or .2 seconds). headers i've been told can remove up to half a sec on 1/4 mile time. with pulleys, intake, cat-back exhaust (CT b-pipe+exhaust) hopefully i can shave off some more times to get into the 13's.
i called rpm-nyc today and im planning on custom tuning my engine.. 3.5L conversion, custom cams, valves and boring out the engine. then later on i'll probably put in stage III V/R tranny as well as the CT S/C+ scalbert's IC. i should be pushing a good amount of power at the wheels at that point... lots of $$ yea i know but it'll definitely be interesting

NA: Intake, headers, exhaust, chip (with right map), light wheels and sticky rubber, crank pulley, mugen cooling mods. I expect to hit 13s with this setup, this fall.
You can also get there quick with intake, headers, and N20.
Or with the supercharger with headers.

I really don't think just using bolt on's will get you 13's on a 01 CLS. Well maybe 13.99 on a cold day with the right weather conditions. Need a SC, or NOS. SFL type S has all the bolt on's & has NOS & only gets into the mid 13's.
i've run 14.16 @ 99.11, 50 degree weather.
that was w/ no chip and CT axle back on stock wheels and 235/40-17.
last time i ran n/a i went 14.20 @ 99+, 62 degrees.
that was on my centerlines and 225/40-18, GReddy EVO, with no unichip.
when i run on sept. 11 i'll have cooling mods + new coolant and water wetter and unichip.
hopefully i'll be able to pull a 13.99 and a 12.99 on the same day.

That's it, I'm going to the track Sept. 10th. If I can't hit 13.99 I'll settle for being the first Auto N/A to hit 100 mph. SOOOO CLOSE!

Are you still gonna up the nitrous to a 100 shot? I was hoping to make it to the track tomorrow, but the weather probably won't cooperate...rain, rain, rain.

what time?
i want to drag my car too!
I need to buy new tires before the end of the month. The Conti's have lasted me 40k and its time to replace them. Maybe I should just slap on some BFG DR's. That'll get me in the 13s. 1.9 60's
1.9's are gonna be very difficult, imo. I only run 1.93 60's in my Mustang, and it has 255 BFG dr's and some suspension.
With a decent 60' (~2.1 for an auto), you'll probably need about 100mph to run close to 13.99. It hasnt been done yet because 100mph NA is very tough to do with a car that weighs 3500lbs and doesnt have a ton of low end torque.

Your 100% right, I dunno what some of the folks are thinking...
