hey guys...i need reconfirmation n your thoughts if i shuld even consider buying this 01 CL type-s. Pretty good condition..72k miles asking for 12$, fully loaded plus woofer and 2 amps. is there anythin i shuld look out for other than carfax info on this car? thanks

 

that's a pretty good price....I would drive it, check it out....

look at -
- oil - what does it look like? do they take care of the car?
- tranny fluid - it is nice, bright red? or brown? have they taken care of the tranny?
- how is the shifting under normal driving? under WOT?
- does the car bounce too much when pushed down? (bad struts)
- any problems with title? (carfax)
- if there are any aftermarket components, are they brand name and were they installed well? Or does it look like anything was "jimmy'd" in?
- do all of the electric devices work? CHECK THEM ALL!!!

yeah thanks for the info and lookouts. i kinda checked it out, but mostly exterior and test drove it for a bit cuz i culdnt stay for long and tomm im going again to check it out. Should i ask him stuff about the transmission..or wat else do u think. he says he maintains it pretty good, garage kept, highway miles and clean but what else shuld i look out for/ask. thanks again

 

It will still have the 100k warranty on the tranny, so it's up to you what kind of service he had on it.

sup wid it... i just got a cl type-s about two months ago and its dope as F.... but id rather pick up an 03 stick. of course price difference but 12 geez is a damn good price. but if its a dudes ride i bet he mashed the F... out of it. thats just my

 

Considering you're covered for another 25k+ miles on the tranny, that 12k is a small price to pay for a great car. I'd do it.
