What about this to replace the CL?

What do you think about this S8? A screaming engine, superb features and an 7 series / S class type car for as much as a new S4. How are 8's as far as reliability etc? Not serious yet, just mulling over some possible options.

2 totally different classes.
Thats like me driving around in a civic LX and asking if a CL-S would be an option.
At this point....I think $$$ will be your bottom line.
But...if opinions matter...personally I'd NEVER buy another daily driven car that doesn't have a NAV in it already. Now weekend projects/beater are one thing, but my daily driver MUST have a NAV.

that car is sweet, I'd take it over a CL. Isn't that what they drove in Ronin?? (awesome car chase).

Yes, they had an S8 in Ronin. Talk about great product placement too, I bet a lot of people hardly noticed the car before that.
edgalang is right though, Its a big step. I asked my Dealer how many A8 models they sell a month and about ONE was their answer.
Haus, If you are really interested in that car take a look here: http://forums.audiworld.com/a8/msgs/26368.phtml
Good choice

Agreed on both counts. Honestly, I don't see my next car being a sports coupe type car. Something w/ 4 doors, class and a solid punch will be what I look at. Given this type of car, a pre-owned vehicle makes sense as prices for new jump big over the new CL price range.
You are also correct, $$$ is a big factor and for arguments sake, if we take this exact car, it would be a bit of stretch. I am just somewhat enlightened as to what is available in the low to mid 40's market. Assume this car could be had for $45ish....what a buy and a true Euro beast!
