Got my *ding* fixed!!!!

I called this guy... Sam from 911 Paintless Ding Removal. Nice guy... charged me $80, but did a perfect job... no sign of any ding... also took some 'waviness' on the sheet metal, as he described it.

However, the process involves drilling a hole (albeit professional plugged up when done) on the door-jamb.

If you are in the LA area... I think he'd service you. He came to my work, so I didn't have to go anywhere.

I am relieved to not see that annoying ding anymore!! If I ever see that Land Cruiser that did it.... he/she'd better watch out!! I even have the License Plate #.

Any car will get some dings after a while anyway. No matter how careful you are, unless you don't drive at all.....the result is: Fixing it, get it again, fixing it, get it again.......finally no more fixing....just ignore it.

By the way, congratulation of the disappearance of the ding.

yeah theres lots of things ive learned to live with the CLS ...

squeaks/rattles- solution = turn up music
stone chips - solution = repaint
keyed marks - solution = repaint with hood/bumper
dings - solution = not looking at it.
tranny slip from 2nd to 3rd - solution = let go of gas and shift to 4th.

otherwise, this cars been GREAT!!

those ding removers are great used them on 3 of my cars in most cases they don't need to drill, but you will never even notice that they did
best way to fix "paintless" damage

Well... if the ding is behind some metal (like the H-beam in my case), its difficult to bang it from inside... plus I really did not want to try... I have seen the effects of my impatience!!

It is honestly 100% perfect! I can't see any ding, ripple or whatsoever... and trust me, I am VERY much of a perfectionist when it comes to these things.

His # is (818) 419 7203

Yeah, I had a nasty crease and two dings in my passenger's rear quarter. The guy had to drill a 1/2" hole in the wheelwell to get at them, but the car looks perfect. He painted the hole, used a silicone calk with a rubber plug and then used some rubber undercoating to finish the job. You can hardly tell the plug is there and there's NO risk of rust.

And my $1,000,000 reward is still out for the arrest of the butthole who did it.
