Wetsanding+Buffer=Not Good (pics)
Well, yesterday I tried to make my car shinier, and at first I tried to do on gas door. (BTW I have done this before on my accord and it was fine) Well I wet sanded it first a little to get rid of uneven clear coat, and let the paint rest for like and hour and applied wax and started to buffer, and not even 20 seconds passed, this happened
Does anyone knows how to fix it? For some reason I can see old paint under new one, and under the primer. Is there a way where I can take off that new paint and leave the old one, or do i have to paint again my gas door?
If I have to paint again, can I order a spray pain from dealership and paint it or is there another way?
Thanks for reply

hmm, because it was painted in this side before and wasn't completely wetsanded, so i had to finish the job, lol, but the whole car turned out really good, better then it was, but this stupid gas door ruined my day. lol
good think this didn't happen anywhere on the car, but on the gas door, which i think would be easy to fix, i hope, lol

No offense, but anyone who has done this enough times to know what they're doing knows they don't "buffer" a car, they buff the car. Looks like you got the buffer waaaaay too hot and it melted your paint. Get it to a professional and get it fixed right.

have them match the paint witht he rest of the car and not the colorcode. i'm sure that the paint has slightly faded or isn't the 100% correct color. the gasdoor will show the other color horribly.

you got it way to hot. It pealed the paint. less pressure, more movement. It was held in place too long. I would just have a body shop respray it for you

first off..... after you wetsand something you have to apply a tough polish and work your way to a finer less cutting polish, to get rid of the sanded/scratched finish, then finish off with a wax.
cant keep the machine in a constant spot, you need to keep moving it a around, especially if its not a random orbital polisher
