i dont understand the need for all this extra stuff for the HBP?!?!

i thought there were quite a few people running it w/o the need of an I/C or aqumist or alchohol injection?

also, would a vafc2 really help that much? sounds like a waste as well.

just get the HBP, slap it on, get the car properly tuned and enjoy it!

there is two different types of hbp ...one that comptech has which is only like 6psi ...and then there is another one which is the one I was referring too thats like 9psi ..and he also mentioned in a previous post....everyone that is running like 9psi pulley has the hope systems intercooler...yes, he could run the comptech hbp without all this extra stuff.

With Sc (hbp) + headers + exaust i think you are supposed to do 13.5.. (go get an HBP!) 14.0 is not that bad but your 0-60ft can be better maybe not 2.0 but 2.1-2.2 is realistic.. how did you start ? and did you wait between each run.. ? remove the plastic on the intake manifold.. take an ice bag and put in on after each run .. and between each run wait at least 30min ill help a lot.. and waiting in line is not good too.. chose a cold night with low humidity.. and keep us updated

I had to wait 45min to 1hour for the next run and the car was off the whole time. Plastic covers was taken off. It was 45 degrees out with very low humidity. No bag of ice though. Didnt really need it becasue the air was cold enough to drop my engine temp to 94F sitting for almost an hour. My friends are going out again Wednesday so I might hit it up again with 100 octane to see the different times with 93 and 100 octane. Ill do one run with 93 first to see if I get 14 flat again. Then pump 100.

I dont wanna brake torque becasue I have a hard enough time getting traction in first gear. I did brake torque to do a burn out and man it spun through out 2nd gear. We have 93 everywhere in Florida and I have the Denso IK22

just brake torke a bit will let you engine mount just in place and help you 0-60ft .. this way the engine will not move and i think you will spin less..

I think Ik20 are great for your setup.. ive read a lot of things on drag racing tips on av6 and serge here 02AV6 know a lot of thing on drag racing for or car.. tighting your rear suspension to the max will help a bit too.. there is a lot of little things togetter that will help.
