Went to the track today.

I went to the track today and I couldnt even break into the 13's . I did two runs and they both ended up being 14.0 in the 1/4. Here are the times. This is with regular 93 gas.

1st run
60' - 2.263
1/8 - 9.164
1/4 - 14.078
@ - 100.07

2nd run
60' - 2.293
1/8 - 9.160
1/4 - 14.041
@ - 101.27

I wanted to break into the 13's soo bad but I went home very disappointed. I know I would hit 13's with 100 octane but I wanted to hit it with reg 93 octane. Do you guys think I should of done better?

Engine mods-
Comptech S/c non HBP with K&N filter, Ported Headers, and apexi ground kit on BFG KDW2 25psi in the front and 40psi in the rear. All comments are welcome.

loose a few pounds, either on you or the car...haha im just playing, dont take it seriously. But u can consider loosing some extra weight on the car if you can (or carry less gas, spare tire, etc)

I only weight 140lbs. Lose any more and you will see right pass me haha. I cleaned out my trunk with the spare even the jack and everything in it. so it was empty. I had less than 1/4 tank of gas and I left the track with the gas light on.

Don't overlook weather conditions. A high barometer blue sky type day with minimal humidity and temps lower than 60 degrees should help. Get that 60' to 2.20 or less and you're there. A lightweight battery might help as you are very close.

I couldnt get traction through out first gear no matter how I launched. I tired going half throttle to full throttle off the line, Then I tired just flooring it at the light (that was even worst).

It was 45 degrees out with very low humidity. Yeah I figured it was the 60's time. This is only my 2nd time at the track. The first time I went I only had a CAI and ran a 15.2 but it was VERY VERY hot and humid.

nice times man...i really think your car will get into the 13s, you're basically almost there already...have you tried taking any of the passenger/rear seats out? and i'm sure a better launch would also help, not sure if that would be possible though...nice times again, and im sure that 13 sec slip is on its way...

I want to hit 13's with full interior. Im getting a custom 2.75 or 3" HKS carbon ti exhaust with a test pipe soon. I think that will do the trick. I am also getting the UR SS crank as soon as I sell my UR S crank and alt pulley. I am also looking for a HBP if anyone is selling one .

I think he'll hit 13's as well.

As far as the seats being taken out, I think he wants an 'everyday' time which is probably y he wants 2 hit it w/93octane.......

i wonder if you're having some SC belt slippage? those 60' times should be good for 13's w/ your setup, i would think.

i'm sure weather played a role as well.

my cl-s with i/h/e/p ran a 14.16 @ 99.11 in 50 degree weather.

Quarter mile has many factors, hp, weight, and traction. With a better 60ft you would drop your time but also lower your trap. With lower weight you will increase trap but you might lose more traction. With more hp you will increase everything .... Just get a HBP and a good tune...

I am looking for a HBP. Does anyone know where I can get one for a good price. I searched and found a few places but all the sites are closed down. I found one site here but that replaces the S/C pulley and that raises me to 9psi but I dont have a IC yet. Do I have to disconnect the IMRC since I have 93 octane here in Florida? I want to tune the car after I get the HBP, UR Ss crank, and custom exhaust & test pipe. I will also get a custom front mount (maybe my friends Evo8 I/C or SRT-4 I/C) but thats later on .

Your 60FT. should be 2.00 change your pulley so you get 8.5# of boost then you will be at 13.30's@105to106MPH

^^ your new mod list

-slicks
-magnaflow high flow cat
-vafc2 (tuned of course)
-alcohol injection (more boost w/o intercooler)

you were knocking on your ground kit? but it actually works your car idles a lot smoother (youd know if you had a vafc2)

If you did want to run that higher boost pulley, you may(not sure) be able to get away using the aquamist water injection kit similar to what ram had and tom has now.
