Weirdest car washing situation?

I was out washing my car today and my neighbor commented on how I must be "crazy" to be washing my car in subfreezing weather. I guess he didn't take into account that I was in my garage, where it's generally ABOVE freezing.

But anyway... That got me thinking. This may be a really dumb post, but what is the weirdest situation you've ever been in while washing your car?

For example - I guess mine would be, a couple of years ago I was out washing and a FREAK thunderstorm blew up right over my neighborhood. It started to hail and before I knew it, hail stones the size of raquetballs (a bit smaller than a baseball) started to fall. My garage isn't attached to the house, so I was stranded in the garage, hence I just kept washing while the hail kept on falling.

Whomever invented the garage needs to be thanked!

Never heard of someone washing their car in the garage. Sounds cool to me.

I left a downtown bar around 1:30 am to find a flock of crows roosting in the tree above my car. Had to wash all the crap off around 2:00 am. The worst part, I had about 2 drops of washer fluid for the ride home. Shit smeared all over the window.

A friend tossed his cookies in my other car a few years back. Going about 65 mph. My brother and I cleaned the outside AND inside around 3:30 am. Looked like the sceen from Pulp Fiction. Stuff all over the interior, rear window. I thought the neighbors were going to call the cops. My friend detailed and waxed my car the next day.

Before leaving on a trip, washing my car in the garage; while it is raining outside! Probably a hold over from the days when I traveled by motorcycle, you always wanted them clean so you could tell where the new oil leak was comming from. I swear I'm not crazy:P :P :P I just act that way at times.

haha i remember the good stories from the first months of the board...

so i tried it: a quick wash and rinse for the front end, hop in the car, find the nearest stretch of open space (freeway works too).... and the rest takes care of itself
