Warranty question

I just got my CL-S 6mt a couple of months ago and I was already thinking about a couple of mods i was going to do in the upcoming months. I have 30k on my car and its acura certified with the extended warranty. If i get an icebox and Comptech headers will the void the warranty for the engine?

No. It should not void the warranty. You dealer may choose to be a dick, but unless they can prove that the mod caused a failure, they cannot void the warranty.

However that dealer can refuse to do work on your car.

how can they refuse to do work on the car? Doesn't that imply that the mods are what caused whatever problem with the car?

No. If the dealer is not mod friendly & they have any suspects the mods are the problem, they can be a dick & refuse to work on the car. I have had it happen, as well as other people I know. What are you going to do really? Threaten lawsuit? Bring up the aboce SEMA thing? That means nothing in real life. It's not right, but it happens all the time.
