Wanna RACE?..............................

hey guys, I just wanted to give a report on my '03 accord coupe v6. I hit 530miles today, and decided it was time to let her know what I expected of her! I floored it a couple of times, but never went past 5,000rpms! and I didn't have to because I caught up with traffic fast as hell! I finished the gas it came with and I am running below 1/2 tank on premium, and she just loves it!

Any chicago area cl'ers want to meet up this weekend, and have a fun race? You'll have to be stock or close to stock in an auto! If you have equipment, you can video tape the races and post online! I'm sure people will be more than intrested! PM me if your intrested

So is it safe to assume your TL-"power" is long gone? What's the matter...lease payments getting too high? Good luck with your new ride.

P.S.
Crazy Sellout: LOL...I still remember that bet too.

cool your on! I planned on bringing both cars. one after the other. the tlp to repeat the 15.3, and the accord coupe, to be timed! I'll also add the injen intake to the accord, to give me a chance to hang with the bavarian

edge, why are you being an as$? remember, I appologized, and we decided to start over? anyways, the tlp is being daily driven by mom, while I am driving the new accord! oh, and don't worry about the lease payments! who can't afford 350 bucks a month for a tlp? plus in 4 years I'll be driving something with a REAL tranny, and you'll be stuck owning Our wonderful tranny! :P

I haven't heard of this. I doubt ours will have troubles because it seems so less complicated, and simplistic. We can't even sport shift! its just a basic: PRND!

It's late over there so you must be tired...but let's not forget your post in this thread. (edit: which Crazy Sellout beat me to)

03 Accords are having Tranny problems too!

As for the tranny...why is it so funny when your own MOM drives the same thing? I'm sure no one will laugh if (god forbid) anything happens to her tranny...but unlike her, I'm not locked into a contract for 4 years, and I rarely do city driving (which means I'm in 5th gear most of the time). So until then, everything else is just hearsay.

I have 37k miles in her now, and as long as I have my 100k mile bumper to bumper extended warranty backing me up (which I bought looong before ACURA even offered the free 100k mile tranny warranty), I'm all good. As for starting over, fine...I was just under the impression that the only apolology ever given was to Mr. Hyde (yes..I remember our arguments VERY well), and ever since then, seeing your login have always left a foul taste in my mouth.

Trash talking to an extent is tolerable, provided you've been a member long enough for the other party to take it lightly...but you came off very strong as a noob, and I'm almost 100% positive that I'm not the only one that feels the same. I just regret not being able to meet you in person...as I seriously think that would of avoided a ton of headaches. I just expected more from someone who graduated with a cum laude.

Edge, maybe you can benefit from using the search function in the acura-tl forums? after our arguements, I posted at thread and appologized to you personally, and you acepted, and said all is forgotten. However, it seems I wasted my time because you simply just forgot, and have started over with the mud slinging!

ok, about my families decision to lease the tlp! 4 years @ 12,000miles = 48,000miles! during this time, our tranny will be fully covered. it can fail a million times over, as far as I'm concerned!! I will definitely not own it, so I don't care. I just hope its doesn't mess up my moms day, or something.

As for the new accord, I'm sad to hear of the tranny news. I still don't care because the '03 coupe is replacing a 2000 cavalier Z24. now even though the cavalier was clearly junk, if this tranny stuff boils over, like in the tl, it will be clear to me that import superiority over domestics is pure hype! this will definitely factor into my next car buying decision!

I've searched the accordv6.com forums, and so has doom878, the accordv6.com member who posted in this thread, and we have both not found the tranny any threads about our transmission! Just a dated thread discussing the TL/CL crisis!

My parents recently bought an 03 Accord EX-L... I have driven it MANY times.

It's a nice car for what it is, but it's nowhere near as nice as my CL. My parents bought the Accord to replace a Dodge Intrepid as their "city car". Just goes to show you how highly they think of it - And BTW, before you think my parents are stuck up pricks, their other car is a Maxima. They just really like the Maxima more for some reason.

They wanted a reliable car for their city driving so that they didn't have to worry about being stuck in the wrong neighborhood. Give them a pat on the back for me.

Is it just me or a dude driving a Honda Accord with a handle of torqueaholic some sort of oxymoron??? Obviously your handle should be 8000rpm or high gas mileage. Just a thought.

Please. Why bother racing?

I doubt your accord will beat a CL-S. HIGHLY doubt it.

Actually a member on accordv6.com named ck2000 took his car to the track and ran 15.0's with a stock auto sedan. He just got an Injen intake too. He should take some stock CL-S's or lightly modded ones.

A 15.00 should MAYBE stay even with a Auto CLS at best, but a lightly modded one would be no contest.

I have a fairly lightly moded Auto CLS, (Intake/Headers), and I ran a 9.31 1/8th (which equates to about a 14.4) at E-Town.
