Si, off-the-line torque es muy grande en el SL-55 pero el Z-06 es mas rapidamente.

I was thinking the same thing. The Z06 should get the launch and the SL55 will play catch up and should pass after 80mph-100mph. I guess that Z06 is modded to pull on the SL55 like that. The SL55 should be trapping around 114-116 which is around 1-2mph higher than the Z06. I have seen some crazy Z06's trapping 117 so i think its possible, but at the end the SL55 should catch up since it did catch up on the Mariclago and the GT2 after 125mph and passed them at 160-180mph.

 

And I can buy 3 Z06's or buy and mod 2 for the price of the SL.

But I still love the SL...runs fast and warms/chills ass.

The Z06 usually runs high 12s...I didn't think the SL 55 ran close to that. My dads CLK 55 was tested at a 13.6....I don't see the SL 55 being much faster than that!

 

Watching that video I would guess the SL-55 has more torque off the line but the Z-06 has better high-end horsepower.

Btw, trapping 114mph at the end of a quarter-mile? A regular C5 with I/H/E can do that.

 

It sure does, the SL55 has tested from 12.9-13.0 sec at 110mph.

 

nicky your forgetting that the new 55 engines are blown, they added a supercharger to the sl, cl, and the s classes but not to the 2003 clk. they make like 120 more HP than your dads clk 55, and i dont even know how much more torque

 

I guess the Z06 could have little bolt ons....like headers/exhaust...and that would put it at or below mid 12s!

Z06 runs mid-12s right around 115mph...

 

some even went high 11's at 117.

 

Not stock they don't, even guys with fairly modded Z06s lose to stock Vipers.

The ZO6 is an incredible car though.

 

And who told u there arent high 11's viper at 121mph. If u compare the fastest time for a stock viper to the fastest time for a stock Z06 u will see that the viper is faster. My friend went 11.8 at 119 with his stock ACR.

 

Huh? Nobody told me there aren't high 11 stock Vipers, I know that. Stock for stock, a Viper is faster than a Z06. But modded Z06s have lost to stock Vipers, that's all.

The Z06 should be slightly faster stock, so I doubt the Z06 was modded too heavily
