Very Weird Grinding Noise

Lately ive been hearing a grinding noise when travling at low speeds ( like driveway, parking lot). The noise is coming from the front? Possibly and only happens for a few seconds...now i dont think it happens when im using the brakes but it happens only sometimes. Now i just did OEM front brakes and pads and i just did motor mounts any ideas?

Brakes, axles, wheel bearings,Abs sensor rubbing.Any of those could cause a similar sound.
Do you feel anything in the steering wheel when the noise is present ?

Well since you changed brakes and wheels recently i would look into that first, unless you noticed the noise before then. I was getting a weird clicking noise from my rear passenger brakes after i had them installed but it went away within a few days.

You said it was at low speeds, but if it was the shock i would assume you would say "when going over bumps" and it would be at all speeds.

my guess is a sway bar link is going or ball joint.. but that should be evident.... mine similar noise was in the rear and I just took the liberty of putting on moog links and a rear sway bar instead (huge difference) and problem solved... and then some =-)

plus moog links are re-greaseable

and moisture only made it worse... which makes perfect sense since it collects inside the end link where there is little or no grease and voila. u have ur culprit

is it from the front or back

but this is speculation... i'd have to hear the noise to say for sure you should replace it

It sounds like the front right...but my wheel bearing also sounded like the front and it came from the back...so what do you say it is?
