Versus Aftermarket kit, have you installed one?

Anybody on the board, have you installed the aftermarket Versus kit yourself? if so, what have you learned? was it easy? do you recommend professional installation? I'm assuming that the installation can't be that bad...any comments are greatly appreciated....give me the good and the bad!!

Well you can do it yourself, but i would rather have a shop do it. I was quoted by a very very good local shop $600 to paint and install the complete kit and repaint the front and rear bumpers. Now that price will vary anywhere you go. But i would rather let a professional place do the install so it comes out looking as good as ..........

If I was having a professional shop install and paint it along w/ both bumpers, I woiuld already have them bondo it into one piece so that it looks its part of the car. I think the kit looks sweet, but the thing that I always hated about most kits is that you can see its just an add-on.

yeah, I have the difusers and they're gonna be painted with the full bodykit this coming tues. I have yet to decide if the front will be with the versus or splitters. the versus front is so damn low and it doesn't match the sides in regards to height. I may just have the splitters molded on. i will definetly post pics either way.

looking good! can't wait to see the finished product. those splitters definitely needed something to complement it. i think the versus kit and splitters flow/transition well.

But ill have to wait and see once its painted.

and the stock spoiler has to go, i think it ruins the kit...gotta go w/the M5 lip for it

I would recomend that you bring up where the doors meet the kit, mine is rubbing slightly and I have to slam my driverside door. the shop said to let it wear out and they'll take care of it when it's worn down enough. Also, the edge of the kit may have some airbubbles, point out that you want them filled along with all the imperfections.
