so my car got recalled for tranny problems, and yes, it has to get the tranny replaced. now the dealership tells me that they will pay 30 bucks a day for a rental and they can't give me a loaner cuz it will take a week. shouldn't i get a car equivalent to my acura? i don't want a cavalier for a week which will still probably cost me 5 bucks a day to have because acura doesn't pay taxes. what should i do to get my loaner, damn it??? they usually gave me one no problem? why should i be punished with a lesser car and/or charges if it's their fault for building a shitty tranny? ANY THOUGHTS? bunch of bs.

been going to the same one for the last 2 years. they always treat me really well and i sometimes don't pay for stuff that i should pay for (hook up) i guess i'll just strart complaining.

bs... I choose my dealer by the quality of the loaner. Acura of Scottsdale gave me an RSX when I got service there... Acura of Tempe gave me a TSX.... Bell Acura gave me a TL.

in my case...mcchurchill gave me the best loaner (2003 tl with like 100 miles on it) but their service department sucks sooo bad that i don't care. hell, i'd settle for an rsx, it's a fun little peppy car. i just don't think i should pay a dime for this recall that's all. it's bad enough i gave them 22 grand for the car.

Sussman Acura gave me the same line: will only take an hour to look and put the jet on. I'm waiting it out to see if another dealer will respond differently. Screw them and their stupid rules. It's a faulty unit with their cars. They should deal with it, especially if they have to replace the tranny.

They rent me a car free of charge.

Never an Acura though. I usually get Camry's.

Sounds like crap to me. Sometimes I don't get a loaner. They say it is because I did not buy my car from there. It really all depends on who is working the service desk.

Since you bought your car there and they are going to have it for so long you should definately get a loaner.

I think Acura's policy is if the work takes longer than 2 hours then they will give you a loaner. Thats the way most dealerships I've been to work.

My dealership never gives me any problems about a loaner ... I almost always make an appointment though and say that I want a loaner. I've gotten an Integra, an RSX, and a TSX (2 times). I don't really care too much what kindof loaner it is, as long as I can drive to work in it. I do like the TSX though .. Nice fun little car.

while i was having my actuator fixed they hooked me up with a cheap ass rental car, and i told the lady @ enterprise that i drive a nice car and expect to have something similar... there was a truck on the lot and she let me have it for $10 bucks a day extra... i didnt mind payin the extra $$ to get away from the fuggin geo metro they were bout to put me in

PAA always gives you RSX, TSX and TL loaners just as long as you call ahead and confirm.

It varies from dealer to dealer.

you might not be able to get a loaner car because they are all loaned out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the dont have an unlimited suply of these things.... your luck they give a free car in the first place they are not obligated to do that. they do it help out there customers..... thats just my

I get a loaner for an oil change, in addition to all of the "hookups." Lucky me (seriously, for what I paid for my car it's the least they can do).

I usually show up at the crack of dawn when they (Pohanka) open.. which is like 6am. So maybe I'm just lucky that they usually have loaners available early in the morning.

Not for tranny problems. Their policy is to give you a rental for tranny replacements. Trust me, I unfortunately found that out first hand. Due to luck of the draw, I ended up in a GMC Envoy. Not bad at all.

I live in Arlington and thats the dealer I went to for my transmission replacement, they got me a loaner car from enterprise(a buick century) not = to my acura cls but better than a RSX. I had to go to Goodson acura in Irving to have my Comptech stuff installed but Vandergriff don't install mods. Goodson acura even gave me a loaner RSX when my headers and swaybars were put in at different times. I didn't expect that but Goodson Acura is so cool if I need anything. I go to Vandergriff for services(oil change for ex) cuase they closer, and Goodson Acura for anything mod related. Hope this helps you out.
