Valentine 1 owners - need advice

I'm getting my V1 delivered tomorrow. Are these things easy to hook-up? I know many of you have already done this and I'm sure I can learn alot by what you've already done. Looking for input. I don't proclaim to know electrical systems and your guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

DD

In the area of the mirror there is a black perforated surface on the windshield, I think it is the radio antenna. Am I correct that I do not want to install a detecor behind this?

The radio antenna is in the rear window. On the windshield where you'd be mounting your V1, make sure you install it below the tint line as to not obstruct the detector's line of site....

SHIT…. All those photo links go to my old dead Fastnet website.
I thought Soopa fixed that in the FAQ somewhere.

Oh well…. All the text still applies. It’s not that hard really.

??? I have always put mine above the tint line so that it is hard to see from outside. Detection range has always been excellant. I am talking about the "factory" tint and not after market with aluminum it it. Think I can get even more range by mounting below the tint?
